It isn’t easy to create praise from the audience because of the ingenuity in the design of the costumes and the character’s personality. Studio Ghibli films have received a lot of acclaim for almost every film they release because of that. In each costume, the image is created by the director, bizarre adventures, talented brains, the fairy world gradually appears. The costumes that have contributed to the success of the blu ray collection ghibli studio include San’s fur cape from Princess Mononoke, Mei’s lovely Outfit From My Neighbor Totoro, etc.

1. San’s fur cape from Princess Mononoke
San is first name in the best outfits list appear in the studio ghibli collection blu ray, beautiful young woman of average build who wears ragged clothing and a cape made of a wolf’s fur and has what appears to be amaranth red war paint on her face. Courage and wildness is emitted from her. She is also very agile, fast, fairly strong and appears to be really good at using daggers and spears. She wears a mask which is her iconic feature. The mask is red with ears and white wavy lines and three sunshine yellow holes for a mouth and eyes. Albeit a warrior-princess in ghibli movie collection, San is fundamentally defined by her appreciation of nature. Being adopted by the wolf goddess Moro when she was but an infant, the “Wolf Girl”, as expected, develops a wild personality. However, despite her (justified) coldness towards humans, she is highly capable of compassion.
She is stubborn, short-tempered, courageous, and protective, her primary concern being to protect the forest and animals she lives with. At first, San rejects her own humanity and seems to be quite misanthropic, also thinking of herself only as a wolf. Despite this, she eventually falls in love with Ashitaka, who was the first to fall for her.
2. Yubaba’s blue dress From Spirited Away
The wicked, but rather charming witch of the ghibli movies studio, Yubaba with a blue dress, jeweled details, the dress clearly demonstrates her personality, need for power and dominance with all the staff in the spooky bathroom. Inside, Yubaba finds herself to be most beautiful and stylish in this ensemble – a mindset that all bosses should aspire to.
Like many other workers of her infamous bathhouse, Yubaba obsesses greedily over gold and is shown to be willing to view gold as a priority over her own family. However, she has in some instances, shown a great amount of motherly care for her son, Boh and is seen completely devastated when the latter states that he “won’t like her anymore” if she continues to treat Chihiro Ogino unfairly towards the end of the film. While her attributes are seen as incredibly antagonistic, Yubaba has shown several redeeming qualities in studio ghibli films, such as her willingness to praise Chihiro after her excellent work with helping the Unnamed River Spirit and motherly softness for her son, Boh. In the end, she simply places gold over most things, causing others to disagree with her due to their varying mindsets.
3. No-face’s expressionless mask in spirited away
Spirited Away in the studio ghibli collection blu-ray is the highest grossing film in Japanese history. There is a lot of content to mention for this movie, No-face’s outrageous outfit is what I want to talk about. When first introduced, No-Face appeared in a semi-transparent state while shifting in and out of visibility. His organs are visible, pulsating in several states. His figure resembles that of a long, black tube. While it is unknown if No-Face has a physical body, it is shown that he can develop arms and legs with the capability of leaving footprints as he walks. An ominous, expressionless mask with gray-violet highlights is painted on his “head” of sorts, and while there is a “mouth” painted on the mask, No-Face has shown that his real, expertly-hidden mouth is larger than the one present on his mask. As a monstrous, out-of-control being in ghibli movie collection, No-Face exhibits all the negative traits of those he had swallowed, becoming a brash, arrogant, loud and selfish creature whose obsession with Chihiro proved troubling for everyone around it. Final, No-face back to original, that is god of the clean river.
4. Mei’s lovely Outfit From My Neighbor Totoro
Mei Kusakabe is the 4-year-old protagonist little sister of Satsuki in My Neighbor Totoro and daughter of Tatsuo Kusakabe and Yasuko Kusakabe. She is an incredibly lively and active character as well as rather curious, typically as many lovely children are drawn by the director in the studio ghibli collection blu ray, Mei is one of the successes of the ghibli films. She wears a white puffy blouse with a bright pink dress (as present in her birthday and buyed from a shop) and sunshine yellow shoes and white bloomers, and carries a yellow bag. At the end of the film, she wears a carnation pink dress. Mei also wears a sunshine yellow night-dress at night and a sky blue night-dress at night in the sequel. Mei and her sister get on incredibly well. Mei looks up to Satsuki and is often seen mimicking her. Satsuki generally looks after Mei and acts as a role model, and almost as a mother to Mei, since their actual mother is in the hospital. Mei is really cute, stubborn, caring, and incredibly curious. She can be a very naughty pest, like many 4-year-old’s are.
5. Ponyo with an adorable amaranth red dress
Brunhilde or Ponyo as Sōsuke names her, is one of the main protagonists of the Studio Ghibli film Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. She is a magical fish descended from the Sea Goddess. Ponyo has two forms: her fish form and her human form. As a fish, she is cute, but as a little girl, she is magical. She has thick amaranth red hair and has only two-piece clothing: an adorable little amaranth red dress with puffy sleeves and white bloomers. She behaves just like a regular five-year-old child, intelligent, adorable and mischievous and later in the movie, sleepy. She’s very happy, sweet and barefoot all the time.
6. The Baron’s Suit From Whisper Of The Heart
There’s no Ghibli character quite as dapper as The Baron. Baron Humbert von Gikkingen, also known simply as The Baron, is a character in the 1995 film Whisper of the Heart. He is a (living) statue of an anthropomorphic cat who is fully dressed (including a top hat and shoes). At night, he comes to life. He belongs to the owner of an antique shop named Shiro Nishi. With the refined mixture of greens and browns, The Baron looks every bit the gentleman he’s supposed to be. But the real eye catching touch is the polka-dot bow, an item that shows the quirky side of the character – evoking the charming aesthetics of the movie he comes from.
7. Kiki’s Casual Dress From Kiki’s Delivery Service
Kiki has short, black hair, which she ties back using a large, amaranth red bow. She wears a medium-sleeved, jet black dress, though perhaps it is just a black smock dress with red accessories, it is the relaxed charms of Kiki’s outfit that give it such an iconic status in the first place. However, at the beginning, she is dressed in a bright green, short-sleeved dress with a bright pink apron with the same shoes. Kiki is not initially pleased with her appearance at the beginning of the film, but later on is told to like herself as a witch by her mother, Kokiri.
Kiki appears in the film, she is very friendly, curious, sweet, and upbeat, however is rather stubborn at times and proud, which is sometimes to her disadvantage. She is very attached to her pet black cat, Jiji, and introduces him as her best friend. Kiki is not ever so popular after her first arrival as she is viewed as a bit of a show-off, but gradually makes new friends with her customers and is the heroine of the film at the end.
